WHAT:
Indianapolis parents are invited to bring their children to a free "Fit for School" health fair where they will receive health screenings, immunizations, sports physicals and even school uniforms (while supplies last), as well as an opportunity to enroll into the Hoosier Healthwise and Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP).

 

The “Fit for School” event will provide:

• Immunizations for children up to age 19, as there are new Indiana requirements for children in Pre-kindergarten, Kindergarten and grades 6-12.

• Lead, anemia, glucose, obesity, vision, blood pressure and dental screenings

• Echocardiograms, sports physicals and smoking cessation information

• School uniforms (while supplies last)

• Enrollment in the Hoosier Healthwise, Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP) and Health Advantage

  
  

Attendees will also have the opportunity to receive information and resources on a variety of health-related topics from MDwise and the Raphael Health Center. Free refreshments will also be offered.
